When is the best period to plant a rhododendron? |
(Survey: Planting tips for rhododendrons ) |
| As for many shrubs, the best period to plant rhododendrons is in autumn: from September to November. In frosty weather, it is not recommended to plant rhododendrons. These days, many cultivars can be bought in pot. This way, you can still go and plant in February, March and April. Planting after the month of May is advised against because your plant will not have enough time to root adequately before summer season. Make sure your pot plants receive enough water, especially during the first few seasons. | |
